Why participate in an international exchange program?
As part of the Boston College High Community, you understand more than anyone the importance of "cura personalis." Here at BC High, we truly believe that an international experience will contribute in wonderful, unique, and enriching ways towards the formation of your mind, body and spirit. By engaging the world that surrounds you, amazing steps are taken not only to become familiar with, but to truly become a part of, new cultures, traditions and languages. Take a chance, step out of your comfort zone, allow yourself to grow, develop, and even change….the experience is sure to be unforgettable!
Your International Exchange Experience is Waiting... BC High is currently offering four seminar exchange opportunities for the 2011-2012 school year - China, Argentina, France and Ireland. As we strive to supplement our students’ classroom experience, and instill in them strong Jesuit values, there seems to be no greater way to facilitate this development than by providing multifaceted, educationally based opportunities globally. All programs are academic based, but offer unlimited opportunities to explore a country’s culture, language and traditions as well. Academic credit is offered through BC High. For more information on each program, click on the links below.
The Host Family Experience Because we believe that cultural immersion is such an important part of our exchange program, and as an effort to keep our costs reasonable, our boys stay with host families during all of our exchange programs. We believe this truly allows each student to get the most out of their international experience. Whenever possible, a BC High student will stay with the family of the student who may have previously stayed in his home. For more information on hosting, please see the the box to your right!
