| | Director's Welcome Message
The Corcoran Library is located in the heart of the Boston College High School Campus and serves as the informational center of the community. On November 21, 1997, Joseph E. '53, John M., and P. Leo Corcoran dedicated this library to the fond memory of their parents, John and Mary Merrigan Corcoran. The Corcoran Library is a fitting memorial to the continuing commitment of the Corcoran family to education. Fully automated and equipped with wireless network access, the library provides a variety of reading, study and research areas for students, faculty, and staff.
The Patrick F. Cadigan Computer Center houses three computer labs open to students throughout the day, from 7 am - 6 pm Monday through Friday. The Distance Learning Center provides two rooms for videoconferencing as well as a Mac Lab for students and classes. The Thomas P. O'Connell Reference Room houses not only a comprehensive reference collection, but also houses the Tutorial Services of the Corcoran Library. The heart of the Corcoran Library, though, can be found in the Corcoran Library Great Books Room, which offers students and faculty a quiet space for recreational reading. New this year, the Corcoran Library Garden provides a serene outdoor setting for students to read leisurely.
We are extremely proud of our online collection which we offer to the BC High community of tens of thousands of online periodicals and ebooks.
We hope that we will see you in the library the next time you are on campus!
Best wishes,
Tia Esposito Director |
