Boston College High School has many hidden gems, not the least of which is the Ultimate Frisbee team. Started over ten years ago with just a few disks and a handful of enthusiastic young men, Ultimate Frisbee has grown into one of the most popular sports at the school. Each year, more than forty kids come for the team. There are no cuts, and, best of all, no experience is necessary. Ultimate provides students at any level of athletic ability the opportunity to participate in a competitive sport where fitness and self-care is encouraged. Combining the skills and rules associated with football, soccer, and basketball, the object of the game is to move the Frisbee up and down the field with the intention of scoring a touchdown. As members of the local and national Frisbee leagues, the team competes each spring against teams from the local Boston area and has the opportunity to participate in a statewide tournament at the close of every season.
