Founded in 1863, Boston College High School is a Jesuit, Catholic school for boys in grades 7-12. Our campus is located on a 40-acre campus, situated alongside the Dorchester Bay, the JFK Library, and UMass Boston, and we are only a 5-minute walk from the MBTA, or drive from I-93.

Tuition & Financial Aid

The tuition for the 2018-2019 academic year is $21,300. More than $6 million in student aid was awarded for 2016-2017, and 49% of students receive some form of financial aid. By working to limit tuition costs and increase financial aid, we foster an exceptionally inclusive environment that provides an unmatched preparation for the next stages of their life.

  • In 2016: 489 students took 1126 exams in 26 subjects;
  • 81% of the scores were 3 or higher; 55% of the scores were 4 or higher

Community Service

  • 35,000+ hours of community service performed by students each year
  • 75 local organizations in and around Boston to provide service opportunities for our community where reflection after doing service is a core value of Jesuit learning

Global Education

We are part of a worldwide educational network that spans 500 years, includes more than 1000 Jesuit schools and has formed leaders in over 65 nations. Through the Hyde Center for Global Education, more than 200 current students participate in 15 Hyde Center programs per year to study, serve and retreat. Countries include Tanzania, China, Argentina, among others.

Guidance Department

  • 150+ colleges and universities participate in both our fall and spring college fairs
  • 115+ colleges and universities meet with students for round-table discussions
  • 22+ institutions conducted college interviews at BC High for interested students
  • 17 on-campus college tours organized by the Guidance department during the summer

College Acceptances

  • 98% of students attend 4-year colleges
  • 71% accepted into the most or highly competitive schools in the U.S. (as defined by Barron's)
  • 1/3 accepted to a top 50 National University (as defined by US News and World Report)
