Mary Gene earned a bachelor’s degree from Boston College. She is a member of the International Coach Federation and is certified as an executive and leadership development coach by The Academies. Mary Gene serves on several nonprofit boards and is a member of the Council for Women of Boston College.

As an NYC-based executive search professional for the past decade, Laura thrives on merging the art and science of recruitment. Laura has recruited leading talent for diverse clients spanning higher education, academic medicine, and national nonprofit organizations. She attributes her success to understanding and then aligning clients’ organizational needs with the experience and ambitions of talented candidates.
A native Virginian, Laura started her career in state politics. She was appointed to serve as the Virginia Film Commissioner and went on to lead the Virginia Film Festival of American Film at the University of Virginia. Laura graduated from Virginia Tech and received an MA in Creative Writing from Hollins University.
An accomplished screenwriter, Laura’s work has garnered awards from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences, the Sloan Foundation, Francis Ford Coppola’s Zoetrope Contest, Hampton’s Film Festival, and the Independent Feature Project.
Laura’s roster of search assignments include St. Mary’s High School, Cathedral High School, Boston College High School, Harvard University, Rensselaer Polytechnic University, Memorial Sloan Kettering, Mount Sinai, The National Parkinson Foundation, and the Melanoma Research Foundation.
Serving as search counsel to Advancement Incite, Justine is Co-Founder and Connector of Vim Collaborative, located in Philadelphia. At Vim, Justine provides collaborative and visionary educational leadership in public and private schools to clients across her deep, national network. She brings more than 25 years of experience as an educator, curriculum leader, and school administrator.
Justine most recently served as Head of School for The Philadelphia School, an urban K–8 progressive, independent school. Previously, Justine was Head of the Middle School (grades 4–8) for The Hewitt School in Manhattan for ten years, where she focused on faculty recruitment and development, as well as the design of an innovative curriculum. From 1991-2003, Justine was a teacher and school administrator at Kew Forest, Forest Hills, NY, and Abraham Lincoln School, Chicago, IL.
With a BA in Communications from Boston College and two EdM degrees from DePaul University, Justine is committed to empowering everyday innovators and cultivating powerful ideas in partnership with energy and enthusiasm.
