Krakow, Poland

In partnership with Kostka High School, SJ, this week-long program will allow students to experience the powerful history of Poland, as well as the rich and intriguing culture of Krakow.
Students will have the opportunity to visit the Auschwitz concentration camps and the Oskar Schindler Factory and Museum, engage in exiting collaborative activities with students at Kostka, and visit the beautiful Tatra mountains.  Staying with host families, students will truly be able to absorb the vibrant Polish culture.

List of 4 items.

  • Eligibility

Current freshmen and sophomores are eligible to apply for this program.
  • Host Family Experience

Because cultural immersion is such an important part of our exchange program, and to keep costs reasonable, our students stay with host families during this program. BC High students who host an exchange student in their homes and participate in an international seminar have the most fulfilling experiences. For this reason, it is the expectation of all students who travel abroad to serve as a host family. Whenever possible, a BC High student will stay with the family of the student who may have stayed previously in his home.
  • Program Costs

Estimated at $1,700. Cost includes tuition, board, meals, travel within Poland and entrance fees. Expenses that are not included: round-trip air travel, personal items, services such as passport fees, phone calls, and personal spending money. (Final cost is determined by participation and final program.) Financial aid is available through the application process.
  • Program Dates

This program will depart immediately following the conclusion of the school year and will last one week.
