Tuition and Financial Aid

Attending an independent, Jesuit college preparatory school means that you understand the importance of investing in education. At BC High, we strive to offer our students a full experience that enables them to develop into leaders who are committed to doing justice and making the world a better place.
Our commitment to academic excellence is well complemented by the Hyde Center for Global Education, more than 70 co-curricular opportunities, and robust advising programs. BC High students graduate well-prepared for life and college success. Our goal is to make a BC High education affordable given the escalating costs of a college education.

  • Payment Options

BC High has contracted with FACTS for all billing and payment collection. FACTS offers our families four different payment plans:

    • 1 payment per academic year due June 5 or June 20
    • 2 payments per academic year due June 5 and December 5
    • 10 payments per academic year due the 5th of the month from June through March
    • 10 payments per academic year due the 20th of the month from June through March
Every family is required to enroll in one of these FACTS payment plans for the academic year.

BC High will advise FACTS of your current year financial obligation calculated as tuition and fees minus scholarships and need-based financial aid. The first bill from FACTS should be expected in May for payment due in June. Questions may be directed to Charles Drane at
  • Financial Assistance

BC High benefits from an active and engaged community consisting of alumni, parents, and friends of the school. Through their generosity, we are able to award more than $7 million in financial assistance for our students. We provide two main forms of financial assistance: need-based financial aid for applicants and currently enrolled students as well as merit-based academic scholarships for applicants to BC High.

    Need-Based Financial Aid

    For Applicants to Grades 7 - 11
Financial aid applications must be submitted by December 15, 2019 (grades 9-11) or January 17, 2020 (grades 7-8) in order for applicants to be considered. Funds may not be available for applications submitted after these dates. When applying for financial aid, families should use their 2018 tax forms and W-2s when completing the FACTS application forms.

    For All Current Students
Applying for need-based financial aid is an annual process. Any current student who would like to be considered for financial assistance must apply by January 17, 2020 for the 2020-2021 school year. This can be done by completing the financial aid application through FACTS.  The application will be available after October 1, 2019. Families should use their 2018 tax information for their application. This deadline will provide adequate time for FACTS to verify all applications and tax information prior awards being made. Applications that are submitted after January 17, 2020 will be considered late applicants and funds may not be available.

    Financial Aid Questions
We understand that this is a complex process. Please contact Charlie Drane at who can address your questions or concerns.

    Merit Scholarships for Applicants

We recognize academic achievement by awarding merit scholarships to qualified applicants who are seeking admission to BC High. These scholarships are determined by the Office of Enrollment based on information presented in your application. For 2019-2020, students who apply for admission are considered for merit-based scholarships and awards are granted based on the strength of each applicant pool. There is no separate scholarship application and notification is provided upon acceptance to BC High. Merit scholarships are renewable provided that the student maintains a high level of academic achievement and solid citizenship. Questions may be directed to
