Keynote Speaker

Quanuquanei A. Karmue, Director of Save More Kids, Inc.
Author of Witness: A Civil War Experience From a Child’s Perspective (2019).
Quanuquanei A. Karmue was raised in Liberia until his family escaped to the Ivory Coast as refugees due to a brutal civil war.  (He is also known as ‘Q’.)  The horrors ‘Q’ witnessed in Liberia remained a shadow in his memory, affecting everything he did.  He and his family moved to Worcester, MA where he graduated from Bancroft School.  His undergraduate degree is from Savannah College of Art and Design and he holds an MFA from East Tennessee State University.
He has become an artist, author, and advocate for children.     Living in Sacramento, CA with his wife and children, he is committed to helping rebuild Liberia.  As Co-Founder and Director of Save More Kids, Inc, ‘Q’ seeks to educate and provide more sustainable opportunities for orphaned children from the Liberian civil war.
