Urinteown takes place in a world where water is so scarce that private toilets have become illegal and citizens must pay exorbitant fees to use public restrooms— “it’s the central conceit of the show!” as Officer Lockstock says. As a dystopian satirical comedy, it uses puns, classic vaudeville comedy (think Abbot and Costello), musical parodies, and self-referential humor to critique current systems.
