Michael Hoyle, Ph.D. Named Senior Vice President for Administration, Finance and Strategic Planning at Boston College High School

As Senior Vice President, Dr. Hoyle will lead strategic planning, financial management, and information technology for the school. He will also provide overall management direction for facilities, capital and master planning, asset protection, and human resources.
Before joining BC High, Dr. Hoyle served as Vice President of Administration and Finance/CFO at Lasell College for a decade. At Lasell he was responsible for a $90M operating budget and a $44M dollar endowment, working closely with the Board of Trustees on the Audit, Investment, and Finance Committees. He helped secure the first investment grade rating from S&P for Lasell College, oversaw $90 million dollars of construction and renovation on campus, and was recognized with an Innovation Award from the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) for collaborative services with local colleges.
Before Lasell, Dr. Hoyle was President of McIntosh College in New Hampshire, Director of Finance/CFO for the University of Phoenix’s Massachusetts Campuses, and, Assistant Director for Administration & Finance for Doctoral Programs at Harvard Business School. He holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from New York University, a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Massachusetts, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bentley University. He has a wide range of board experience including Project Step, the Town of Wayland, and Roxbury Community College.
