Summer at BC High

Sport Clinics, Grades 6-12

The BC High Summer Program offers full-day sport-specific clinics in several sports, as well as co-ed strength, conditioning, and speed clinics. Small group sessions assure that each player receives personalized instruction in all aspects of the game.
The clinics are designed for players of all ability levels and the program of instruction is intended to target specific skills and to promote improvement at every level. Various games and competitions are integrated into the clinics to make the athletes' experience both educational and fun.

No affiliation with BC High is required to attend any of our clinics. Anyone who has the desire to improve as an athlete is welcome.

Summer Sports Clinics

  • Baseball (Boys entering grades 7-11)

    Session 1: June 26 – June 30 (Monday - Friday)
    Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

    Session 2: 
    July 5 – July 7 (Wednesday - Friday)
    9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

    The emphasis of the clinic will be on the development of the individual. Baseball is a game of individual skills and must be taught that way. Our clinic is designed for players of all ability levels. The program of instruction is intended to target specific skills and to promote improvement at every level.
  • Basketball (Boys entering grades 6-11)

    Entering Grades 6-8
    July 10 - July 14
    9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
    Tuition: $350

    Entering Grades 9-11

    July 17 - July 21
    9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
    Tuition: $350

    The goal of our basketball clinic is to provide a week where players can improve their skills in an encouraging atmosphere. The clinic will help players assess their strengths and weaknesses and give them drills to take home with them. Through individual, group and team drills, players are instructed in all areas of the game: shooting, ball-handling, passing, defense and team play.
  • Football (Boys entering grades 6-10)

    Date: July 17 – July 21
    Time: 8:30 a.m. – Noon
    Tuition: $275

    The football clinic teaches fundamentals and breaks down each side of the ball with positional instruction. Players will pick a position on offense and defense. They will also learn team concept
  • Soccer (boys entering grades 6-11)

    Date: July 17 – July 21
    Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

    Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

    The soccer clinic day starts with group instruction working on individual skills. Daily skills developed during the week include first-touch, passing, receiving, dribbling, shooting, and defending. Players have warm ups that involve working with the ball, stretching, and small group ball work. Functional instruction is provided for forwards, midfielders, defenders and goalkeepers. Full field matches are played with introductory tactics.
  • Strength & Conditioning Program (Co-Ed; grades 6-12 & Alumni)

    Athletic Fundamentals

    Date: June 26 - August 3 (Monday, Tuesdays, & Thursdays)
    Session 1: 10:30 a.m. to noon
    Session 2: 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
    3-week Tuition: $225
    6-week Tuition:

    Designed for grades 6-9, the Athletic Fundamentals program lays the building blocks for our long-term athletic development model at BC High. This program will educate each athlete on specific qualities of athletic performance including mobility, strength, power, speed, and conditioning. Included is a thorough movement and performance assessment, a specific and individualized program, a t-shirt, and educational discussions on recover, nutrition, and the athletic mindset. Each athlete will be entered into our athlete database and have access to all of our training resources.


    Open Gym (Grades 6-12)

    Date: June 19 - August 17 (Monday, Tuesdays, & Thursdays)
    Time: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
    Tuition: $200

    A unique summer-long opportunity for experienced athletes and recent alums to train in a team atmosphere with like-minded individuals and coaches. Coaches will help with program implementation, but athletes take ownership and leadership of their (and their team's) athletic training. Early and late options cater to varsity teams.
  • Volleyball (Co-ed entering grades 7-11)

    Date: July 25 - July 27
    Time: 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
    Tuition: $100

    The volleyball clinic is for any person, male or female, who is new to the game or a seasoned competitor in this fun filled sport full of strategy and athleticism. The BC High staff will be running drills that will teach you the fundamental art behind passing, setting and attacking. With facilities that can support three regulation courts, each camper will have the opportunity to receive quality reps during their experience.

Licensing Information

Boston College High School’s Summer Program ("the Program") must comply with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and be licensed by the Boston Inspectional Services Department's Division of Health Inspections. Under the authority of M.G.L. c. 111 SS 3 and 127A, the regulations at 105 CMR430.000: MINIMUM STANDARDS FOR RECREATIONAL CAMPS FOR CHILDREN (State Sanitary Code, Chapter IV) were adopted to insure minimum housing, health, safety and sanitary protection for children in the care of recreational camps operating in the Commonwealth.

As part of the state regulations, this handbook provides policies and procedures for the safety of our campers.
