Parent Groups

Parent’s Welcome

At BC High, parents are a vital part of our community, and your partnership with us in the growth of your son is essential.

Be part of the 150-year old tradition of creating men for others, and participate in volunteer opportunities, social and spiritual activities, parent groups, and a myriad of events hosted throughout the year.

Ways To Get Involved

You are joining a strong community of nearly 3,000 fellow current parents and guardians who are following in the footsteps of more than 4,500 past parents. We are delighted when parents choose to get involved at BC High and many do!
BC High has four formal parent groups that are part of the Parent Council, in addition to the myriad of other opportunities to volunteer through your son’s activities and interests (e.g. serving concessions at the play or organizing a cookout through a sports team, or elsewhere).

    Primary Objectives

    CASA aims to support BC High in its goal to identify and overcome barriers that exist for students in becoming Graduates at Graduation.

    Understanding and supporting a community that is committed to respect, justice and freedom, given the unique differences in race, culture, class, gender, religion, and identity;

    Developing programs, events and resources with the administration, faculty, guidance, admissions, parents’ groups, students’ groups, and the diversity office to support the needs of under-represented students;

    Providing the BC High community with a social network and forum for support and discussion where all cultures are appreciated;

    Supporting BC High’s goals of seeking a diverse and integrated community of learners, faculty, families, and leaders;

    Advocating for policies, resources, and programs central to the Ignatian mission that understand, build, support, and sustain the broad diversity at BC High.

  • Fathers’ Group

    The Fathers’ Group at Boston College High School is a voluntary organization of fathers and guardians whose sons presently attend, or have attended Boston College High School. We strive to strengthen our personal relationships with our sons and to participate in their walk to become “Men for Others.”
    Toward this end, we seek to forge stronger father/son relationships by engaging with them in healthful social and recreational activities; by participating in such community projects as are consistent with the broader mission and philosophy of Boston College High School; and to expose our sons to the myriad of professional, business and vocational careers represented by our collective membership and the Boston College High School community.

    If you have any questions, comments, or would like to learn more about the Fathers’ Group at Boston College High School, please contact us at [email protected]

BC High

Giving comes naturally when you are a parent or guardian. Each and every day you give of your time, talents and treasure to support and nurture your child. You have partnered with BC High to mold your son in the Jesuit tradition, and our committed faculty and staff work hard every day to honor the trust that you have placed in us.

We are extraordinarily proud of the breadth and depth of the programs that your son enjoys. Our facilities continue to evolve and expand, accommodating our 21st century learning environment.

The Fund for BC High touches every aspect of your son’s education, from science labs, to faculty enrichment, athletic fields and choir halls. It is the lifeblood of our school. The Fund fills the significant difference between tuition and the actual cost to educate our students. The extraordinary education that your son experiences is only possible through the generosity of our entire community. Every gift – in any amount – has a direct and immediate impact on the quality of education for your son. Please join us with your gift to The Fund for BC High. Thank you for the gift of your son; and thank you for considering supporting BC High.
