CASA Group

CASA, the parent group promoting cultural awareness and diversity at BC High, is an acronym for the Cultural Alliance Supporting All. All interested parents are welcome to the monthly meetings on Thursday evenings in the Loyola building.

Primary Objectives

CASA aims to support BC High in its goal to identify and overcome barriers that exist for students in becoming Graduates at Graduation.

  • Understanding and supporting a community that is committed to respect, justice and freedom, given the unique differences in race, culture, class, gender, religion, and identity;

  • Developing programs, events and resources with the administration, faculty, guidance, admissions, parents' groups, students' groups, and the diversity office to support the needs of under-represented students;

  • Providing the BC High community with a social network and forum for support and discussion where all cultures are appreciated;

  • Supporting BC High's goals of seeking a diverse and integrated community of learners, faculty, families, and leaders;

  • Advocating for policies, resources, and programs central to the Ignatian mission that understand, build, support, and sustain the broad diversity at BC High.
