Students for Soldiers Welcomes Captain Tom Kelley ’56

Captain Kelley, former Massachusetts Commissioner of Veterans’ Services, received the Medal of Honor for his actions during an ambush while traveling down a river in Vietnam. He was recently recognized by Governor Charlie Baker for transforming the way Massachusetts cares for our veterans.

Captain Kelley spoke to several classes about assisting veterans in their transition back into civilian life, especially those effected by PTSD and substance abuse challenges, his personal story, and how BC High has shaped him as a person.
