    John V. Murphy ’67 P’98 gifts $2.3M for the Murphy Family Stadium

    With new grandstand seating for fans, ADA-compliant ramps and stairs, a new press box and state-of-the-art sound system, and two new buildings to house permanent concession, ticketing, and restroom facilities, the stadium will better serve the next generation of Eagles. A spectator plaza, complete with a courtyard for students and fans to congregate before and during athletic and school events, adds a welcoming space for the community.

    The Patrick F. Cadigan Family Foundation gifts $49M

    The Patrick F. Cadigan ’52 Family Foundation Wellness Complex is made possible through a historic $49M gift, the largest in the school's history and the largest ever to a Catholic secondary school in New England. This bold investment in the health, well-being, and formation of our young men advances the student wellness priorities outlined in BC High’s Vision 2026 Strategic Plan.

    BC High announces the House System following $10M gift from Michael D. White ’70

    In addition to endowing the Center for Emerging Leaders, Mike White ’70’s generous $10M gift establishes an endowment for the newly-implemented House System, which allows students to connect more deeply with each other, the adult members of the community, and better promotes personal wellbeing, learning, and growth.

    The Imago Dei Center for Justice and Belonging receives $3M gift to support the center’s work

    The newly endowed Imago Dei Center for Justice and Belonging strengthens a campus culture where students, faculty, staff, alumni, and families are valued, respected, and empowered to thrive. The Center focuses on creating an inclusive environment that supports the academic and personal growth of all individuals by recognizing and embracing the strength of our community’s diversity, across race, ethnicity, culture, gender, socioeconomic background, and beliefs.

    BC High publicly launches Illuminating Excellence: The Campaign for BC High

    At the site of the former Boston Globe, now Southline, the BC High donor community gathered to hear from student speakers and campaign co-chairs. The event concluded with the illumination of campus as President Grace Cotter Regan P’12 announced the launch of the campaign with $97 million already committed to campaign initiatives.

    The Shields Fellows Program is announced following a $5M gift from Jack Shields ’79 P’06

    BC High received a gift from Jack Shields ’79 P’06 to launch the Shields Fellows Program, designed to expand access to a BC High education and break down barriers to student success. Shields Fellows are granted full tuition and access to exclusive experiential learning pathways in and around Boston, including innovation accelerator programs, workshops, conferences, internships, and mentorship opportunities.

    The Gregory E. Bulger ’68 Endowment for the Arts is established with a $1.25M gift

    BC High announced that the school received a gift of $1.25 million from alumnus Gregory E. Bulger ’68 to establish the Gregory E. Bulger ’68 Endowment for the Arts, providing a sustainable source of income so that future generations of Eagles can experience the life-changing power of creativity and expression. In the following school year, BC High offered over 90 fine and performing arts performances and art exhibits.

    A $1M gift endows the Kairos retreat and enables BC High’s Center for Ignatian Identity and Formation to provide holistic formation experiences, including over 40 programs, comprised of retreats, service immersions, and spiritual experiences.

    Following Michael D. White ’70’s $10M gift, during the 2023–2024 school year, 60 students participated in the Emerging Leaders Cohort; 11 programs and events were held with a range of external speakers; and the Leadership Certificate Program launched with 23 juniors enrolled.

    Following the gift from Jack Shields ’79 P’06 to launch the Shields Fellows Program, 5 students from Brockton begin their journey at BC High supported by full tuition, mentorship, and experiential learning opportunities in Boston’s innovation economy. In September 2025, 4 more Shields Fellows began their BC High journey.

    Within the Illuminating Excellence Campaign, The Legacy Campaign is launched

    The Legacy Campaign is launched to recognize those in our community who have documented an estate commitment during this campaign. By the end of the fiscal year, $25M has been committed since July 2021 including a historic $10M bequest intention from BC High friends Frank Barron and Eve Brandis Sundelson.

    The Margarete & John A. McNeice, Jr. ’50 GP’13 Center for Ignatian Identity and Formation is established with a $3M gift

    A $3 million gift from the John A. McNeice, Jr. Charitable Foundation establishes the Margarete & John A. McNeice, Jr. ’50 GP’13 Center for Ignatian Identity and Formation. The Center will strengthen Jesuit faith formation, create a welcoming space for spiritual growth, and serve as a national model for Ignatian formation through enhanced curriculum, faculty and staff formation, student House collaboration, sacramental preparation, and lifelong engagement opportunities for parents and alumni.

    BC High announces a transformative gift from Edmond D. Villani ’64 to establish the Edmond D. Villani ’64 Institute for Civil Discourse. Anchored by a Distinguished Faculty Chair in the Humanities, the Institute will set a national standard for rigorous scholarship, respectful dialogue, and leadership across the political spectrum. Charles Shaw is established as the inaugural chair.

    The Patrick F. Cadigan ’52 Family Foundation Wellness Complex officially opens its doors

    With a multi-day grand opening event, including an official ribbon-cutting ceremony with Maria Cadigan, Patrick F. Cadigan ’52’s daughter, and Dennis Delahanty, Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Patrick F. Cadigan 52 Family Foundation, BC High officially opens its doors to the Cadigan Wellness Complex. The weekend included an immersive experience featuring the new pool, installations in the state-of-the-art strength and conditioning center, and a live kitchen demonstration in the new Szymanski Wellness Kitchen.
