  • High School Biology Teacher

    Status: Full-time

    Boston College High School is a Jesuit, Catholic college preparatory school located in the City of Boston. The science department invites applications to fill an open position in Biology. The individual hired will be primarily responsible for teaching Biology with the possibility of additional teaching assignments in other areas of science. Strong candidates will show:

  • Head Football Coach

    BC High is an all boys Jesuit Catholic high school from grades 7-12, and a member of the Catholic Conference. The playing fields are an extension of the classroom at BC High, and with that, the next head football coach must create a program that witnesses high level of instruction coinciding with character formation.

    Characteristics of the next BC High Head Football Coach:
    • Must be a qualified football coach who adheres to all MIAA, league, and school rules.
    • High school head coaching experience is highly desirable
    • Firm commitment to player character development on and off the field
    • Vision for the entire football program, which includes a Varsity, JV, Freshmen, and Middle School program
    • Communicates well with the coaching staff, players, and the administration
    • Believes in professional development to advance their coaching ability
    • Treats all players and coaches equally and fairly
    • Committed to an anti-racist and inclusive community
    • Helps with player college recruitment
    • Works with athletic administration to build a competent and supportive staff
    • Knowledgable in all facets of the game: offense, defense and special teams
    • Ability to incorporate technology into the sport
    • Represent BC High in a professional manner on and off the field

  • Guidance Counselor – Middle School

    The Arrupe Division (7th and 8th grades) is seeking a Guidance Counselor to work with the 8th grade (approximately 160 students). The counselor works with teachers, the other Arrupe Division counselor, and the administration to support students in their academic, social, and emotional growth. The counselors provide individual counseling and run support groups. They plan and implement the advisory curriculum, teach occasional classes, and run organizational workshops. The guidance counselors are essential members of the Arrupe Division leadership team.

    Interested candidates should have:

    • a degree in counseling (Master’s degree in counseling is preferred).
    • experience working with 7th and 8th grade students
    • experience with advisory programs
    • outstanding communication skills
    • ability to work with students and parents and to collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support students
