Boston College High School Welcomes April Anderson, P’26, to Board of Trustees
BOSTON, Mass. — Boston College High School (BC High) is pleased to announce the appointment of April Anderson, P’26, founder and president of Anderson Strategic Advisors, to its Board of Trustees.
Anderson brings decades of leadership in economic development, public policy, strategic planning, and public-private partnerships. As founder and president of Anderson Strategic Advisors, a Boston-area economic development consulting firm, she advises organizations and jurisdictions on building strong economies, navigating complex policy matters, and advancing strategic initiatives.
Her distinguished public-sector career includes service as Chief of Staff for Business Development under Governor Mitt Romney and as Assistant Secretary for Economic Development under Governor Deval Patrick. In these roles, she developed extensive experience in large-scale financing, regulatory approvals, and multi-stakeholder governance.
“April’s commitment to Jesuit, Catholic education is evident in the way she has engaged with BC High as a parent and volunteer,” said President Grace Cotter Regan P’12. “Having known April personally, I have seen her deep appreciation for the transformative power of a BC High education and her commitment to ensuring that young men are prepared to lead lives of faith, integrity, service, and purpose. We are delighted to welcome her to the Board of Trustees.”
Anderson has been an active member of the BC High community since 2020. Her involvement has included serving as a panelist for Women in Business in 2025 and as a member of the school’s Principal Search Committee in 2026. As parent of a young alumnus, she brings a meaningful perspective on the student and family experience, as well as a strong understanding of the school’s mission and operations.
“Trustees play an essential role in shaping the future of BC High, safeguarding its mission, strengthening its strategic vision, and helping ensure that future generations of students can benefit from an exceptional Jesuit, Catholic education,” said Board Chair Paul Donato ’95. “We are thrilled that April will bring such a deep understanding of the school and how it works to the Board. She has seen firsthand what a product of BC High can do, and her professional expertise, civic leadership, and commitment to our community will be tremendous assets.”
Anderson is a member of several professional organizations, including the Urban Land Institute, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, South Shore Chamber of Commerce, Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, Middlesex 3 Coalition, and International Council of Shopping Centers. She serves on the Middlesex 3 Coalition, where she moderates its Legislative Leadership Series, bringing government officials together with business and community leaders. Further, she’s recently completed a term on the South Shore Economic Development Commission as well.

Anderson holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts. Her appointment reflects BC High’s ongoing commitment to assembling a Board of Trustees whose members bring diverse professional expertise, broad civic connections, and a shared dedication to the school’s mission of forming young men of conscience, compassion, and commitment.
