Shields Fellows Scholarship Program Application

Congratulations on your acceptance at Boston College High School! Your hard work and dedication to excellence in your academic and community life are commendable. As a young man who grew up in Brockton, my mom, Mary Jane Murphy Shields, dropped me off at BC High and said it would be the best experience of my life. And boy was she right! That’s why my wife, Kathy, and I are now privileged to offer an opportunity to other young men from Brockton to be part of the Shields Fellows Scholarship Program so that they may have the best experience of their lives.

This year, we will accept four (4) Shields Fellows who will:

• Receive tuition funding for four years of BC High School
• Have access to exclusive experiential learning pathways in and around Boston such as workshops, conferences, internship & mentorship
• Be supported by a robust academic, social, college and career support structure that embodies the experience and vision that we believe all students should have access to

For students: Complete the application, and forward the community reference form to a teacher, mentor, or other community individual of your choice.
