Your proudest moment at BC High:

My proudest moment at BC High is my involvement in the English as a Second Language program. The opportunity to help immigrants prepare for their citizenship exam was a humbling and satisfying experience that taught me a lot about myself. It also gave me the opportunity to really apply the Jesuit teachings into the real world.

What teachers or guidance counselors say about you:

The quintessential scholar-athlete, Malcolm was equally adept at weighing the symbiotic connection between language and cultural identity in an A.P. Composition class, say, or inspiring his soccer teammates to repeated playoff appearances. He delights in a challenge—and inspires those around him to do the same.

— Ron Fletcher, AP English Language & Composition teacher
